Gorgias Love Wraps

I made my first
custom baby blanket when my first daughter was born nearly 11 years
ago. I wanted her to have her very own blanket, unlike everyone else.
She absolutely loved and adored that blanket. I loved to watch her hold
her blankie and watch in amazement as she'd put it between her top lip
and pacifier while she suckled. I'd watch her fingers roll the satin
between her thumb and fingers as she'd drift off to sleep. She had to
have her blankie everywhere she went. She cherished that blanket until
it got so tattered, I had to make her a new one. She was 4 by this
time, so I took her with me to the fabric store to pick out exactly
what she wanted. She cherished this blankie just as much as the first.
I had baby girl number two by this time and made her a crocheted
blanket with little hearts throughout. By the time she was 10 months
old, she'd fall asleep while rolling the yarn back and forth and
twirling it around her fingers. She too would put her 'ma-wankie' up to
her lip while suckling her pacifier. This touched my heart to see both
my girls and their love for their blankies. They still to this day,
have their very own blankets that are tucked into bed with them at
night, only bigger! Even though my youngest has 'out-grown' her
crocheted blanket, she still has to have that pink heart crocheted
blanket on top of her minky blanket at night! She still finger plays
with it to fall asleep, 6 years later! I see that they feel comforted
by these special blankets and my passion and desire is to share these
wonderful blankets with others.
This
is how 'Gorgias Love Wraps' was born. 'Gorgias' (gor-jus) is Old
French, meaning elegant and luxurious. The first thing people comment
on when they see these blankets is how gorgeous they are and how
luxurious they feel! 'Love Wraps' because we all feel loved, secure and
nurtured while wrapped in our favorite blankets!
Now
